Yachtpedia Brand Guide

The official identity system for superyacht intelligence.

Every Yachtpedia touchpoint must communicate precision, trust, and quiet maritime authority. The system is light-first, dark-native, data-rich, and premium without drifting into decorative luxury tropes.

Brand Principles

Four properties shape every surface.

01

Authority

Always speak from data and verified sources. Yachtpedia replaces speculation with evidence and quiet confidence.

02

Precision

Numbers are typeset with intent. Tabular figures, exact units, and tight spacing communicate engineering rigor.

03

Access

A premium subject deserves a calm, scannable interface. Surface the right datum at the right moment.

04

Clarity

Generous whitespace, restrained color, and a single accent direction at any moment. Decoration is forbidden.

The Yachtpedia Mark

Locked logo system.

The Yachtpedia icon and wordmark form the primary brand signature. The icon is a supplied asset and must remain unchanged. The wordmark is set in Manrope ExtraBold with tight negative tracking for a premium technology feel.

Primary App Icon

Used for navigation, profile marks, favicons, and primary digital touchpoints.

Primary Lockup

Icon plus wordmark — used in headers, product surfaces, and brand-forward communications.

Dark Surface Treatment

On Hull Navy or Abyssal Navy, the icon retains its white container — never invert or recolor the supplied mark.

Dark Lockup

Wordmark renders in Ice Blue (#DDF3FF) on Midnight Navy. Cyan-blue accents only on interactive elements adjacent to the mark.

Do

  • Pair the icon with the locked Manrope wordmark in headers, product surfaces, and brand-forward moments.
  • Maintain clear space equal to at least 25% of the icon width on every side of the lockup.
  • Use the icon-only mark only when the wordmark already appears in the same surface (e.g. tab bars, app icons).
  • Place the lockup on Sea Glass, Yacht White, Hull Navy, or a calm frosted container with at least 30% opacity.

×Don’t

  • Do not regenerate, redraw, recolor, stretch, rotate, or apply filters to the supplied Yachtpedia mark.
  • Do not place the wordmark on busy photography unless a white or frosted container provides quiet space.
  • Do not pair the wordmark with display fonts other than Manrope ExtraBold.
  • Do not introduce decorative gold, beige, green, or champagne palettes — Yachtpedia is sea blue, marina blue, cyan-blue, and navy.

Chromatic Architecture

Sea-blue authority, navy at night.

Yachtpedia is light-first but dark-native, built on one blue system. The light system reads as editorial, precise, and modern with sea-blue accents on white. Dark mode pivots to a deep nautical navy with luminous ocean-blue and cyan-blue glow for high-contrast visibility on bridge displays and after-hours sessions. No green, gold, or champagne.

System Elements

Surfaces, photography, and voice.

The supporting language that surrounds the mark — calm panels, real imagery, and a voice that never speculates.

Surfaces

Glass panels use white or hull navy with sea-blue borders, 20px+ blur, and calm shadows. No drop-shadows greater than 24% black.

Photography

High-resolution real yacht imagery only. Mobile heroes use portrait crops, a clear text-safe zone, and consistent yacht placement on the right third.

Voice & tone

Authoritative but approachable. Data-led, precise, discreet. Never speculative. Premium is earned through restraint, not adornment.
