A guide is only as good as what it refuses to invent.
Yachtpedia is a reference for the world’s most significant yachts and the yards that build them — written the way a registry is kept, not the way a brochure is sold. Real vessels, researched specifications, licensed and credited photography, and a single measuring stick across every page.
What we hold ourselves to
Every vessel in the guide is real. Specifications are researched against shipyard records and registry data — a figure we cannot stand behind does not appear.
Imagery enters the guide with its license verified and its photographer credited, on the image itself. Renders and stock stand-ins are refused.
Every length in the guide is drawn against the same 0–185m axis, so a bar on one page means exactly what it means on every other.
Where no verified photograph exists, the guide shows a designed placeholder — never a borrowed image presented as the vessel. Gaps are visible until they are filled properly.
The fleet, to one scale
Every vessel in the guide is a line on this axis, placed at its exact length overall. Clusters are real clusters; gaps are real gaps. As the guide grows, the picture gets denser — the scale never changes.
